FAQs

What does a Tools for School Teen Board member do?

As a Tools for School teen board member, you play a pivotal role in driving the organization's mission forward. You engage in fundraising efforts, use social media to amplify the Tools for School message, and raise awareness of the plight that exists in our community. As we begin planning our packing event in August, you contribute to the execution of organizing and hosting the event that leaves a lasting impact on students in need.

How much time should I plan to devote to Tools for School?

Board members convene bi-monthly, dedicating 1-2 hours per meeting. During the event day, they contribute a full day of volunteer service, encompassing event setup, leading the packing activities, and ensuring a thorough cleanup afterwards.

I’ve never done work with a non-profit before! Can I still join?

Yes! We will teach you everything you need to know. If you are willing to put in the time and effort to learn and contribute, we would love to have you involved.
